James Daniel “Jimmy” Isenberg, 59, died March 2, 2022, at his mother’s home. He was born April 18, 1962, in Hutchinson, to Donnie Lee and Mary Jane (Brozek) Isenberg.
Jimmy graduated from Buhler High School, in 1980. He worked as a welder until his health declined. Jimmy enjoyed camping, playing board and video games, and watching wrestling and football. He loved to eat, especially at Playa Azul, where the staff treated him like a king. Jimmy treasured his family and spending time with them. He was of the Baptist faith.
Jimmy is survived by: his mom, Mary Janzen of Hutchinson; siblings, Aldon Isenberg (Alma) of Gardner, Steve Isenberg (Jane) of Inman, Michelle Bird (Dale) of Wichita, and Marlo Janzen of Hutchinson; nieces and nephews, Ambra Isenberg, Aldon Isenberg II, Ali Daugherty, Darlene Downing, Austin Downing, and Hallie Hobbs; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and his best buddy, Keith Wingert.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Donnie Isenberg; stepfather, Levi D. Janzen; sister-in-law, Marsha Isenberg; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 West 4th Avenue, Hutchinson, with Pastor Tonya Ramer Wenger officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
