Reno County residents will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with a county commissioner and a local extension agent this Friday, August 15, 2025.
Reno County Commissioner Ron Hirst and Jason Probst, Family and Community Wellness Extension Agent with K-State Research and Extension, will visit seven towns throughout the day to hear residents’ ideas and concerns, as well as to share information about extension services available in the area.
The tour will begin in Partridge from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m., followed by Arlington from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m., Plevna from 10 to 10:45 a.m., Sylvia from 11 to 11:45 a.m., Turon from 12:45 to 1:30 p.m., Abbyville from 1:45 to 2:15 p.m., and Pretty Prairie from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m.
All meetings will be held at each community’s city office. Residents are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and learn more about county programs and resources.
Organizers say the tour is designed to strengthen connections between local government, extension services, and the communities they serve.
