THE CITY OF HUTCHINSON

The City of Hutchinson is pleased to announce that Scott Cooley has joined the City as its new Downtown Revitalization Manager, effective January 5.

The Downtown Revitalization Manager position was created to provide focused leadership for the City’s downtown area and to move implementation of the Downtown Master Plan forward. In this role, Cooley will lead the day-to-day work of downtown revitalization efforts, including business support, redevelopment coordination, and oversight of the City’s Kansas Main Street Program.

Cooley will work directly with downtown business owners, property owners, developers, and community partners to increase activity, reduce vacancies, and support continued private investment in the downtown core. The position serves as a key connection point between the City and stakeholders working collaboratively to strengthen downtown Hutchinson.

“I’m excited for the future of Downtown Hutch,” Cooley said. “There’s been a lot of great progress and projects over the years, yet there’s still so much future potential. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us!”

The City of Hutchinson remains committed to long-term downtown revitalization through strong partnerships. This position reinforces the City’s ongoing collaboration with downtown stakeholders to build on existing momentum, support private investment, and advance a shared vision for a vibrant, thriving downtown.
