LIBERAL – Anna Swearingen recorded her first career game-winning goal as the No. 18-ranked Hutchinson Community College women's soccer team won its fourth-straight game in a 1-0 victory over Seward County on Wednesday night at Liberal High School.

Now unbeaten in six-straight games (5-0-1), the Blue Dragons reached the 10-win plateau for the 19th time in their 21-year history. Hutchinson will play host to Butler at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Salthawk Soccer Complex.

Scoreless into the 70th minute, the Dragons had a free offensive zone kick from the left side of the goal. Isabela Puccinelli delivered the free kick right into the foot of Swearingen, who scored her second goal of the season from point-blank range to give the Blue Dragons a 1-0 lead with 29:43 left in the second half.

Puccinelli had her eighth assist of the season.

From that point, the Blue Dragons went on to post their third-straight shutout. The Blue Dragons outshot Seward County 10-6, including 6-2 in shots on goal.
