
NEWTON, Kan. — A 21-year-old Newton man is in custody on multiple attempted murder charges involving his 2-month-old daughter, according to Newton police.
The investigation began after the infant was taken to an emergency room Aug. 26. The child was immediately placed into police protective custody.
Police arrested the child’s father, Logan G. Dick, later that night.
Dick is being held in the Harvey County Detention Center on three counts of attempted murder stemming from separate alleged incidents of abuse. He also faces charges of aggravated endangerment of a child and obstructing apprehension or prosecution.
His bond is set at $1.5 million.
