The Hutchinson City Council will consider several development-related items during its regular meeting Tuesday evening, including four public hearings tied to special assessments and a proposed residential development.
The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
Three of the public hearings involve proposed special benefit districts and the levying of special assessments on properties that benefited from infrastructure improvements.
The first hearing concerns the Plum Creek Lift Stations and Drainage Special Benefit District, where the council will consider assessments to pay for the cost of lift station and drainage improvements.
A second hearing addresses the Plum Creek Phase I Special Benefit District. Council members will consider levying and assessing costs for infrastructure improvements associated with the project's first phase.
The third public hearing involves the Spyglass Hills Water Line Special Benefit District. The proposed assessments would help cover the cost of water line improvements serving the development.
The council will also continue a previously opened public hearing regarding the proposed Meadows on Monroe Rural Housing Incentive District (RHID) and its associated development plan. The continuation will allow the council to receive additional public input and consider further action on the proposed housing development.
Following each public hearing, the council is expected to consider related ordinances that would formally approve the special assessments or take action on the respective development proposals.
The meeting is open to the public and will be held Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Hutchinson City Hall.
