Carolyn F. Yost, 74, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at her home. She was born July 20, 1947, in Dodge City, Kansas, the daughter of Jesse C. and Frances (Yost) Schmidt.
She was a member of the Meridian Church of God in Christ, Mennonite of Hesston.
Carolyn was united in marriage to David L. Yost on December 7, 1969 at Montezuma, Kansas. He survives of the home.
She was a devoted homemaker.
Carolyn is survived by her four daughters, Loretta Jarvis of Salina, KS, Sherri Martin (Sylvan) of Tonasket, WA, Becky Martin (Dani) of Dardanelle, AR, and Trish Nichols of Montezuma, KS; five brothers, Elwin Schmidt (Priscilla), Laurel Schmidt (Carolyn), Kenneth Schmidt (Anita), Robert Schmidt (Ardith) and David Schmidt (Virginia); sister, Ruth Toews (Walter); brother-in-law, Rodney Koehn; brothers-in-law, Darrel Yost (Helen) and John Yost (Carol); sister-in-law, Marlene Nightingale (Dennis); 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Arlene Koehn; son-in-law, Brett Nichols; and two grandchildren, Gregory Martin and Christina Martin.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Meridian Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Hesston. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m., Monday, October 25, at Moundridge Funeral Home, with family greeting friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the church.
