
HUTCHINSON, Kan. - The Hutchinson Monarchs continued their winning ways on Monday night with a 11-1 run-rule win over the Wichita Black Sox at Hobart-Detter field in Carey Park.
It was the Monarchs (25-6) ninth win in a row.
Hutchinson jumped out early aided by a three run home run by Jarrett Flaggertt to score five runs in the bottom of the first inning.
The Monarchs tacked on three more runs in the second and three in the fifth.
Flaggertt was three for three with three RBI's to lead the Monarchs in hiring.
Camden Cornelius pitched a gem for the win giving up only three hits through five innings. Ian Lanik came on in relief for two three-up, three-down innings including striking out the side in the seventh.
Hutchinson travels to Wellington for a non-league game tonight before wrapping up the season with a three game home stand Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
