Betty J. Haines, 89, died June 25, 2021, after a seven year wait to be back with the love of her life and in the arms of God. She was born April 22, 1932, to Glen and Minnie Davis in Burrton, KS. She was a graduate of Burrton High School. Betty worked as a loan officer at Central Kansas Credit Union, retiring with 17 years of service. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and spending time with family. Betty was full of stories about her life, had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh, and was known for her wild collection of ‘Crocs’. Her infectious smile will be missed by all.
On April 6, 1957, she married John F. Haines. For 57 years, they danced their way through life together, enjoying lots of traveling to visit their families and catching as much sightseeing and thimbles as they could along the way.
Betty is survived by: daughters, Donna Stiffler and Laurie Brady, both of Hutchinson; son, David (Brandie) Haines of Texas; grandchildren, Dannielle Kidd, Janie Stiffler, Matt (Stacey) Brady, Sarah (Vic) Boyer, all of Hutchinson, Brandi Brady of Virginia, Tracy (Josh) Hall, Amy (Daniel) Hall, and Cailin Anderson, all of Arizona; great-grandchildren, Jaedan (Chris) Snell of Hutchinson, Jayson (Lacie) Kidd of Oklahoma, Bryson (Kirstin) Kidd, Alexis Kidd, and Brooke Whitford, all of Hutchinson, Zander, Taytum, and Kaiden Hall, all of Arizona; and great-great-granddaughters, Madison and Avery Kidd of Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; daughter-in-law, Kay Haines; and son-in-law, Michael Brady.
Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life gathering will be 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Westside Baptist Church, 400 W. 12th, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
