Job Title: Youth Leadership Program Coordinator

Reports To: Rise Up Reno Prevention Network Executive Director

Position Description:
Supervise youth leadership programs and provide direction, coordination, and consultation for all functions within the organization to help strengthen public or private programs and to involve a community of supporters. Also help to promote the mission of Rise Up Reno Prevention Network efforts and its programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following, and other duties as assigned:
• Oversee all Youth Leadership program sponsors, coordinate all campaign and grant requirements

• Manage reporting for grantors, including coordinating reports from sponsors

• Create social media content, manage pages and engagement statistics

• Be available for activities that fall outside normal business hours

• Coordinate recruitment, processing, and recognition of youth

• Coordinate participation requirements, including program logistics with school staff and youth.

• Conduct and prepare others to conduct trainings

• Support the philosophy, mission, and policies of Rise Up Reno, USD 308 Hutchinson Public Schools and any other schools or organizations representing all entities professionally.

• Educate the public, school personnel, parents and students about the purpose and goals of the Youth Leadership groups

• Be available for presentations to groups in order to share the Rise Up Reno mission, recruit new volunteers, and/or fundraise

• Be open to constant feedback on programming

• Be a Visible and Positive Liaison in the Community. Work as a team member.

• Ensure that Rise Up youth meet their responsibilities, follow protocols and expectations, and stay up-to-date on the latest alcohol, drug and tobacco (ATOD) research and news

• Be proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canva, and various social media platforms

• Attend trainings and meetings as needed. Schedule and conduct meetings as needed.

• Maintain relationships with community agencies

• Develops, promotes, and maintains a wide range of youth activities within agreed-upon budgets

• Informs youth of policies, procedures, and standards of Rise Up Reno

• Confers with staff and youth members to resolve grievances and promote cooperation and interest

• Maintain confidentiality and respect personal information concerning volunteers, donors, school district staff and Rise Up Reno staff

• Confer with Director for budget, advice and special needs of youth activities

• Actively participate in planning and executing all fundraising efforts

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one-to-two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

All Rise Up Reno staff must pass a criminal background screening and drug test at the time of onboarding.
