HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday evening at Carey Park.

According to Capt. Dayton Gates with the Hutchinson Police Department, one person was transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound. The victim’s condition has not been released.

Police said the investigation remains in its early stages, and additional details have not yet been made available.

Authorities have not released information about a suspect or what may have led to the shooting.
