Texas man charged in drug deal shooting death of Kan. teen

SEDGWICK COUNTY— A third suspect accused in the May 2020 shooting death of a Kansas teenager made his first court appearance in the case Monday.  Jakob Oniel Cuble, 19, of Grand Prairie, Texas, was charged with 1st degree felony murder and aggravated robbery, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.

Cuble is third person charged in connection to the death of 17-year-old Marcus Sain at a Wichita apartment complex. Police say the shooting occurred during a drug deal.

Nathaniel Saunders and Malcolm Ganther have also been charged with first-degree murder and aggravated battery for Sain's death.

Cuble's next court appearance is scheduled for June 17, according to the district attorney. His bond remains at $250,000.
