Hutchinson Colts shutout in Salina Grand Slam tourney

SALINA, Kan. - It was a round night for the Hutchinson Colts baseball team in Salina as they were shut out by the Great Bend Chiefs 8-0 in the first game of the afternoon, then lost to the Topeka Scrappers 12-0 in the later game.

The Colts were participating in the 30th Annual Kansas All American Grand Slam Wood Bat Tourney played in Salina every year.

Brandon Turner took the loss in game one and Radloff was the loser in game 2.

Blackwell had a double in each game.

Next action for the Colts will be vs the Wichita Sluggers at 4:45 pm Friday.  Pool play winners will advance into bracket play on Saturday.

The Hutch Jr's will be in action Friday and Saturday at Wheatland Park in Buhler.  Jr's Schedule for Friday and Saturday:

FRIDAY GAME TIMES: vs Buhler @ 4 pm; vs Haven @ 6 pm

SATURDAY GAME TIMES: vs Pratt @ 9 am; vs McPherson @ 11 am.
