Hutchinson Planning Commission meets Tuesday

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Planning Commission will look over a long list of capital improvement projects that are a part of the 2023 budget and beyond during their regular meeting Tuesday.

The list includes more than $16 million worth of public works and engineering proposals including several storm sewer and utility projects. Included in the are major improvements to a sewer lift station for $2.7 million and sewer rehab at Avenue F and Van Buren at a cost of $1.3 million.  More than $1.7 million worth of water line replacement is also on the list.  

Several engineering projects include development of the Baker and 16th Avenue bridge replacement, the Woodie Seat mill and overlay project and design study. It also calls for $280,000 for the latest master plan renovation for the Carey Park Golf Course and several improvements to the Hutchinson Airport. Total CIP projects on the list amount to $19.5 million.

Tuesday's meeting of the Hutchinson Planning Commission begins at  5:30 p.m. at the Hutchinson city offices.
