
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Community College received all 12 first-place votes in the latest NJCAA Division I rankings, released Tuesday afternoon. Hutchinson, which went 11-1 a year ago, begins its title defense Saturday on the road at New Mexico Military.
Kickoff from Roswell is set for 1 p.m. CDT.
Iowa Western remained No. 2 after a 1-0 start, followed by Northwest Mississippi at No. 3. Navarro (Texas) and Snow (Utah) rounded out the top five.
Garden City climbed one spot to No. 6, while fellow Kansas program Butler is ranked No. 15 following its opening win. Copiah-Lincoln (Miss.), Tyler (Texas), Mississippi Gulf Coast and Georgia Military also secured top-10 positions.
Teams receiving votes included Coffeyville, Cisco (Texas), Hinds (Miss.) and East Mississippi.
