

Terrie Anne Curiel, 55, died March 4, 2021, at Pleasant View Home, Inman, in the care of Good Shepherd Hospice. She was born June 24, 1965 in Hutchinson, to Pamela S. (Brown) Curiel and Rudolph Curiel.
A Hutchinson native, Terrie graduated from Hutchinson High School, class of 1983, and joined the military following graduation. After basic training she moved to Tucson, AZ. Terrie was deployed to Desert Storm from Fort Huachuca in 1990. After returning to the U.S., she worked airport and border security. Staff Sgt. Terrie Curiel retired from the military May 31, 2002. After the service, she worked as a caregiver in private home health care.
Terrie enjoyed long walks, bicycling, and cats. She always had a cat from the time she was a very young girl. Her cat, Sami, was allowed to stay with her during the final days and was a constant companion.
Preceding Terrie in death were: her mother, Pam McFerren; her brother, Alex Curiel; paternal grandparents, Catherine and Manuel Curiel; and maternal grandparents, Carol and Wallace E. Brown Jr.
Survivors include: her father, Rudy Curiel and step-mom, Shirley Curiel; niece, Jayden Curiel; nephew, Brayden Curiel, all of Hutchinson; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will have a private service and burial.
