McPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson USD 418 has earned national recognition as a 2024-2025 Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase Schools® District, highlighting its district-wide commitment to student connection, positive culture and leadership development.
The honor celebrates the collective efforts of students, staff and administrators across the district who prioritize strong relationships, kindness and trust as foundational to student success.
In addition to the district-wide recognition, five McPherson schools were individually named Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase Schools. They include:
- Eisenhower Elementary
- Lincoln Elementary
- McPherson Middle School
- Roosevelt Elementary
- Washington Elementary
“This award is a reflection of what makes McPherson special,” district leaders said in a statement. “Our people—their heart, their dedication, and their belief in every student’s potential—are what set us apart.”
The Capturing Kids’ Hearts framework, developed by the Flippen Group, focuses on creating safe, connected and high-performing classrooms. Showcase Schools are selected based on measurable outcomes in student performance and school culture, as well as the intentional implementation of the program’s relational strategies.
McPherson USD 418 joins an elite group of districts across the country being recognized for fostering environments where students and staff feel valued and empowered.
