SOUTH HUTCHINSON, KS — According to Reno County Public Works Director Don Brittain, Smoots Creek Road between Herren Road and Dean Road south of Pretty Prairie is closed for repair until further notice.
The culverts beneath the crossing have deteriorated, causing the concrete crossing to cave in. The culverts have been purchased and the low water crossing will be repaired as soon as the weather allows.
