PRATT COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 1 p.m. Monday in Pratt County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Wester Star truck driven by 31-year-old Steven Swords of Russell was northbound on Northwest 70 Avenue seven miles south of Byers when the truck he was driving had its right tire drop off of the east edge of the road. Swords overcorrected back onto the roadway and the truck traveled across both lanes of traffic into the west ditch and rolled.
EMS transported Swords to Wesley Medical Center. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
