SEDGWICK COUNTY — An accident on K-96 in Sedgwick County Monday afternoon involved vehicles with three Hutchinson teenagers and three people from Haven inside.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2000 Toyota Echo driven by 19-year-old Jason Michael Gleason of Hutchinson and a 2008 Ford Econoline E350 driven by 43-year-old Michael Reese Mulligan of Haven were both westbound on K-96 at mile marker 273 at 5:15 p.m. when Mulligan did not see Gleason's car because of the sunset and rear ended it, pushing the Echo into the east ditch.

Gleason was not hurt. His passengers, 18-year-old Jalen Morisi and 17-year-old Destin Pope were taken to St. Francis in Wichita to be checked out.

No one in the vehicle driven by Mulligan was hurt. He had two passengers, 17-year-old Kaley Rose Mulligan and 11-year-old Joshua Eugene Mulligan. They were released at the scene. Everyone was buckled up, according to the report.
