Jimmy Riley Hodges, 67, passed away June 6, 2021, at his home.  He was born October 12, 1953, in Hutchinson, to Benny Riley and Betty Jeane (Snyder) Hodges.

Jimmy was a 1971 graduate of Buhler High School.  He worked as a sales manager for various companies.  Jimmy enjoyed sports and was a decorated athlete.  His appreciation for sports included participating, as well as spectating.  Jimmy was an avid golfer and loved to play and watch the game whenever he could.  His love for sports was only exceeded by his love for his family and friends.  The titles that he cherished most were husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, and friend.

On August 5, 1994, Jimmy married Linda Johnson, in Hutchinson.  They shared over 26 years of marriage.

He is survived by:  wife, Linda Hodges of Hutchinson; daughter, Cassie (Chris) Delaney of Bel Aire; stepsons, Jason (fiancée, Lynlea Southards) Wood of Wichita, Matthew (Britta) Wood of Nashville, and Chad Johnson of Hutchinson; granddaughters, Chandler Hodges and Emma Delaney; eight step-grandchildren; siblings, Susan Hill, Jacolyn (Roger) Wood, Donald (Amy) Hodges, and Jerry (Cheslea) Hodges; Meryl Dye, mother of Cassie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Benny Ross Hodges.

Celebration of Life service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Park Place Christian Church, 2600 N. Adams, Hutchinson, with The Rev. Dr. David Dubovich officiating.  Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.  Family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday, July 10, 2021, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Jimmy Hodges Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
