Gertrude Claire Seifert, 93, passed away January 19, 2022, at her home. She was born April 27, 1928, in Wichita, to Elsie (Bennett) Bell.
Gertrude graduated from Saint John High School, Saint John. She was a homemaker and an avid volunteer for Hutchinson Regional Medical Center gift shop for over 20 years, Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County, local blood drives, and election voting polls.
Gertrude married Charles Earl Seifert. He passed away on August 2, 1986.
She is survived by: her children, Lorraine Seifert of Hutchinson, Laverne (Sabra) Seifert of Nickerson, and Leon (Connie) Seifert of Davenport, NE; four grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three great-great-great-grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters.
Gertrude was preceded in death by: her mother; two brothers; and one sister.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary, with the Reverend J.R. Spellman officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2022, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, at Elliott Mortuary.
