Olivia Magaña, 85, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS. Olivia was born July 12, 1935 in Aguililla, Michoacán, Mexico, the daughter of Eustacio and Maria (Cortez-Orosco) García.
On July 25, 1958 she was united in marriage to Benjamin Magaña, to this union they were blessed with five children, Jorge, Alberto, Gloria, Simey and José.
She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and ten siblings. Olivia is survived by her husband Benjamin Magaña of Hutchinson; five children, Jorge (Patty) Magaña of Hutchinson, Alberto (Silvia) Magaña of Hutchinson, Gloria Vera of Sacramento, CA, Simey (Merci) Magaña-García of Hutchinson, José (Nicole) García of Hutchinson; a brother, Antonio García of Livermore, CA; 19 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 612 S. Maple Street, South Hutchinson, KS. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with a rosary service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS. Burial will take place in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Memorials may be given to Our Lady of Guadalupe and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
