Karen Diana “Diane” Glaser, passed away, July 16, 2021, at Bethesda Home in Goessel, Kansas at the age of 78. She was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma on July 24, 1942, the oldest child of Ceph and Anita Curl.

Diane grew up in the Braman, OK. area where she graduated high school with the class of 1960. She then attended Northern Oklahoma Junior College for two years and finished her education at Kansas State University. She graduated in January of 1965 with a teaching degree.

Diane married Graeme Glaser on August 31, 1962. They had their first son, Curt in Manhattan, then resided in Lawton, OK. while Graeme was in the military. When Graeme was assigned duty in Vietnam, Diane moved back to Braman with their son. That year she also taught school at South Haven, KS. Upon Graeme’s return from the service, they lived in several places and continued to expand their family with the birth of Dawn and Kent before finally landing in Peabody, KS. in 1978, where they made their home on a farm.

Diane taught 20 years at Peabody Elementary School. She was an active member of the Peabody United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, participated in United Methodist Women (UMW), and taught children’s Sunday School. Diane loved tending to her flower gardens, cooking, sewing, doting on her grandkids, and spending time with friends.

She is survived by her husband, Graeme; sons, Curt and his wife, Joni, of Ellsworth, KS., Kent and his wife, Charity, of Gardner, KS.; daughter, Dawn Voth and her husband, Mike, of Littleton, CO.; and brother, Eric and his wife, Rita, of Mountain View, Arkansas. Diane was blessed with eight grandchildren: Clint, Grant and his wife Marissa, Nate, Cassie, Dawson, Tatum, Tristin, and Trent.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Catherine McRae.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the Peabody Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody. Family will meet with friends Friday, July 23, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
