Today's "Throwback Thursday Collection" takes us to the northeast corner of West Sherman and North Washington.

Over the years, this corner has been a lot of things.

Today, we will start in 1950 when it was the Thomas-Schoonover used car lot. The first photo shows this time frame when it was next to the Barnes Auto Parts house.

In 1958, the entire north side of the street west of the First National Bank underwent an urban renewal process and was razed.

In 1960, James and Franklin Fee decided to build a new building at 30 W. Sherman and moved their longtime insurance agency from 18 E. Sherman to this location. The second photo shows that business right after opening.

In 1987, they moved again to the seventh floor of the First National Center.

In 1995, Dr. Timothy Lackey and Dr. Andrea Nielson moved their chiropractic office to this location. The third photo shows the building today, still occupied by the Lackey & Nielson Chiropractic Center. The building is owned by The First Kansas Bancshares Inc.
