Floyd Elmer Seachris, 69, died November 11, 2021, at his home. He was born December 24, 1951, in San Francisco, CA, to Alvin and Dorothy (Nelson) Seachris.

Floyd worked at Cessna and Farmland for many years. He also served in the Kansas Army National Guard for 17 years before he was medically discharged. Floyd was a gun collector and loved playing dominoes, especially Mexican Train. He was of the Baptist faith.

In 1975, Floyd married Melanie (Stropes) Fox. They divorced in 1987.

He is survived by: his daughter, Morgan Wilk and husband Sam of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Maisy Wilk, Brittany and Holly Seachris, Owen Seachris; sisters, Carolyn Ardolino and husband Rick of Hutchinson, Eileen Seachris of Lyons; brother, Kenny Jarrett of Hutchinson; many extended family members.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jeremy.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2021, at Elliott Chapel. The casket will remain closed. Attendees are encouraged to wear western-themed attire. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, with military honors conducted by the Kansas Army National Guard.

Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Wednesday thru Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
