Doris Jean Condray, 74, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 at Hill Top House in Bucklin. She was born on August 13, 1947 in Onaga, Kansas to Ivan Ernest and Sophie Dorothea (Kolle) Bosse. Doris married Jerry Lee Condray on January 28, 1967 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Kansas. They were married for 54 years.
Doris worked as a Elementary Teacher and Special Education Teacher at Garden City and Pratt. She attended Kansas State University for 2 years and then went to St. Mary's of the Plains where she received her Bachelor in Education. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and Ladies Guild. She enjoyed camping, gardening and homemaking.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry; son, Jared Ethan Condray of Hudson; daughter, Julianne (Ben) Hemphill of Kansas City, Missouri; granddaughter, Jackie (Christian) Folkers of Great Bend; grandsons, Preston Hemphill and Logan Hemphill both of Kansas City, Missouri; great-grandson, Clayton Folkers; great-granddaughter, Faith Folkers; brothers, Lowell (Sandy) Bosse of Wheaton and Kenneth (Marcia) Bosse of Independence; and sisters, Donna (Lynn) Spencer of Bentonville, Arkansas and DeAnn (Harlow) Clements of Olathe.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Monday, August 30, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Nashville with Pastor Merlin Lohrke presiding. Burial will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Nashville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Concordia Theological Seminary in care of Larrison Mortuary.
