
Raymond “Ray” H. Mora, 80, of Hutchinson, died December 13, 2020, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born November 3, 1940, in Hutchinson, to Theodore and Josephine (Garcia) Mora.
Ray graduated from Hutchinson High School and Hutchinson Community College. He was an Inspection supervisor and union leader for Kansas Gas Services. Ray loved to collect baseball cards, coached softball, and baseball. He volunteered at Hospice House of Reno County and was an active member of The Church of the Holy Cross. He was a strong man of Faith and Family and he has touched many people lives throughout this life and that will never be forgotten.
On August 11, 1962, Ray married Judy Ann Powell in Hutchinson. They shared 52 years together before she passed away on January 14, 2015.
He is survived by: children, Ted Mora, Las Vegas, Michelle DeLaney (Pat), Hutchinson, Jeff Mora (Sigrid), Michigan, Traci Luce (Bobby); grandchildren, Taryn Mora (Manuel Rodriguez), Falon Goertz (Randy), Chaz DeLaney (Mariah), Brittany Bishop (Jermaine), Logan Mora, Bree Gonzales (Neil), Dalton Luce, Devin Luce, Makayla Luce; great-grandchildren, Ariella Mora, Aiden and Cannon Whitsitt, Maliyah Bishop, Caleb Jimenez; and sisters, Martha Gentry, Rachel Ellison, Liz Mora Bonilla, and Mary Hamby.
Ray was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Judy Mora; sisters, Bertha Garza, Rita Bonilla; and brother, Michael Mora.
Parish Rosary will be 7 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020, with a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, December 18, 2020, at the Church of the Holy Cross, with Father Aaron Spexarth and Father Michael Kerschen presiding. Friends may call and visit from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
