NORMAN, Okla. &ndash;&nbsp;Wichita State captured a 15-4 win in five innings over Bowling Green in an error-filled affair on Saturday afternoon at Love's Field. &nbsp; After Shocker starter&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/softball/roster/ava-sliger/9327" rel="smarttag" rev="9327" data-airgap-id="59">Ava Sliger</a></dfn>&nbsp;struck out the game's first two batters, the Falcons opened the scoring, capitalizing on an error to bring a runner home with an RBI single in the top of the first. &nbsp; It didn't take long for the Shockers to respond as back-to-back walks allowed&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/softball/roster/jodie-epperson/9323" rel="smarttag" rev="9323" data-airgap-id="60">Jodie Epperson</a></dfn>&nbsp;to drive in&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/softball/roster/ellee-eck/9322" rel="smarttag" rev="9322" data-airgap-id="61">Ellee Eck</a></dfn>&nbsp;to tie the game at 1-1. The Shockers then loaded the bases with nobody out but couldn't bring anyone home to break the tie. &nbsp; After a scoreless inning from Sliger, the Shockers broke the tie in the bottom half with&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/softball/roster/caroline-tallent/9319" rel="smarttag" rev="9319" data-airgap-id="62">Caroline Tallent</a></dfn>&nbsp;scoring on an error, then, Eck drove in&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/softball/roster/krystin-nelson/9315" rel="smarttag" rev="9315" data-airgap-id="63">Krystin Nelson</a></dfn>&nbsp;to give the Shockers a 3-1 lead. Later, Epperson brought Eck home for the second time in the game, tallying her second RBI to take a 4-1 lead. The Shockers weren't done doing damage as&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/softball/roster/sami-hood/9312" rel="smarttag" rev="9312" data-airgap-id="64">Sami Hood</a></dfn>&nbsp;drove in another run with a bunt single and&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/softball/roster/mila-seaton/9317" rel="smarttag" rev="9317" data-airgap-id="65">Mila Seaton</a></dfn>&nbsp;scampered home on an error to make it a 6-1 lead for Wichita State through two innings. &nbsp; In the third, Bowling Green capitalized on another two-out error, scoring three runs to cut its deficit to 6-4.&nbsp; &nbsp; In the bottom half, the Shockers answered, rallying with two outs to score four runs courtesy of doubles from Hood,&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/softball/roster/taylor-sedlacek/9318" rel="smarttag" rev="9318" data-airgap-id="66">Taylor Sedlacek</a></dfn>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/softball/roster/catelyn-beckerley/9328" rel="smarttag" rev="9328" data-airgap-id="67">Catelyn Beckerley</a></dfn>&nbsp;to take a 10-4 lead into the fourth. &nbsp; After a scoreless inning from&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/softball/roster/ryley-nihart/9325" rel="smarttag" rev="9325" data-airgap-id="68">Ryley Nihart</a></dfn>, the Shockers piled up runs in the inning, bringing five runs home. Nelson scored on a fielder's choice and Eck scored shortly after on a stolen base. Later, Sedlacek ripped an RBI double to left to score pinch-runner&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/softball/roster/morgan-lloyd/9326" rel="smarttag" rev="9326" data-airgap-id="69">Morgan Lloyd</a></dfn>&nbsp;and Hood blasted a two-run homer to dead center to cap off the inning with WSU up 15-4.&nbsp; &nbsp; In the fifth, Nihart worked around a pair of fielding errors to end the inning without allowing a run, ending the game with a 15-4 Shocker victory. &nbsp; Hood was a stellar 3-for-4 on the day with four RBIs. Sliger earned her first collegiate win allowing no earned runs in her 3.0 innings of work. &nbsp; The teams combined for eight errors in the game with the Shockers recording five. The five errors tied for the fifth-most in program history. &nbsp; Next Up The Shockers play a doubleheader on Saturday in Norman where they will face the hometown #2/2 Sooners at 3:30 PM CT and the Abilene Christian Wildcats later at 6:00 PM CT.</div>
