HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Board of Zoning Appeals will have a light agenda for Tuesday's meeting.
The board will take on a request from J and J Drainage Products to vary from the required fencing along the north side of their new building.
The company, which is nearing completion of a major expansion and new facility wants to install a six foot chain link fence in place of the required solid screen. The company says a solid fence would simply provide a canvass for graffiti and would hinder any patrol of the area against vandalism.
The company also says that the new building hides most of the product that is on the property. It replaces an aging building that will be removed.
The board will take action and make their recommendation to the Hutchinson City Council for a future meeting. Tuesday's meeting of the Board of Zoning Appeals begins at 5:30 at the Hutchinson city offices.
