
HARVEY COUNTY — A Kansas college golfer from Texas was injured in a car accident in Harvey County Monday evening.
According to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2020 Nissan Altima driven by 18-year-old Ana Herrin of Waxahatchie, Texas was southbound on I-135 at milepost 38 just before 8 p.m. when her car left the roadway, struck and went through a KDOT guardrail, then vaulted onto NW 60th, striking a second guardrail.
Herrin was taken to Wesley Medical Center with a suspected serious injury. She was buckled up.
Herrin is listed as a freshman member of the Bethany College golf team on their website.
