HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson firefighters were able to keep a Sunday night fire down to a single room.
According to a release from the department, crews were called at 9:30 p.m. Sunday to 218 East Avenue B in Hutchinson for a fire located at the back of a small, single story home near the rear exit.
The fire was limited to one small utility room. No one was home at the time of the fire. Light smoke damage was present throughout the home. The initial investigation appears to show that the fire is electrical in nature.
