HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The 2022 To The Stars: Kansas Business Awards will celebrate outstanding businesses and community leaders all across the state. Debra Teufel with the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce would like to see several local businesses nominated.
"Nominations are open through this Friday," Teufel said. "I would encourage you, if you have not nominated a business through that To The Stars awards competition, please do that. Whether it's a women and minority owned business or just your own favorite business in the community or a legacy business, we want to celebrate the stories of businesses right here in Hutchinson and Reno County."
AgTrax, Superior Boiler, Hubco, Ideatek, Genzada Pharmaceuticals and American Packaging were all awarded last year.
"It was a little out of sync, the timing was, because those nominations went in last summer, but we didn't get to have the awards presentation until this spring for those past winners," Teufel said. "This cycle's going to happen a lot faster. The award nominations have been announced. They are due Friday and the awards ceremony is going to be this fall."
A total of 178 businesses across Kansas were honored as part of the celebration in May, including 133 Merit Award winners and 45 Regional Award winners.
