HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Bluestem PACE of McPherson announced Tuesday that they will be expanding services by opening an alternative care site in Hutchinson. Plans are to have the facility operational by the spring of 2021.
The PACE program partners with individuals and their caregivers so seniors can remain safe and independent in their homes for as long as possible. The program has been serving McPherson, Harvey, Marion, Reno, Rice and Saline counties for four years.
The Hutchinson location will provide similar services as the center in McPherson, including health care services, activities, meals and transportation, so participants more local to Hutchinson will have to travel less frequently.
Bluestem PACE provides participants with a variety of services from primary care physicians to prescription drug services, all from one source. Participants can also spend time at the PACE Center, allowing their in-home caregivers some respite while receiving personal and medical care and enjoying social activities.
The new facility will be located at 1900 East 23rd Avenue with plans to open to participants in March or April of 2021.
