Today's "Throwback Thursday Collection" takes us to the 500 block of North Main on the east side.
This block in Hutchinson originally had two-story residential homes populating it.
In 1902, he added 8 more rooms.
In 1903, he added 18 more rooms for a total of 38. The first photo shows the Welsh Hospital in 1904.

In 1918, that hospital ended, and the structure turned into a series of differently-owned rooming houses.
In 1927, W.C. Shaw constructed a brick building here and moved his City Transfer & Storage Co. there from 19 W. 1st. The second photo shows City Transfer & Storage during the 1929 flood.

This business continued there until 1958 when Delbert Eurton purchased it.
It closed in 1963 and Florence McCune started the Hutchinson Paper Co. The third photo shows the building divided up into three businesses in 1963, including Martin Insurance and Brooks Realty.

Hutchinson Paper was viable at that location until 1994.
In 1995, Don McConnaughy bought the building and ran Don's Plumbing out of there, with his sons involved in the business later.
In 2015, Steven Petermann founded the Salt City Brewery at 514 N. Main. The fourth photo shows that time frame.

The fifth photo shows the remodeled Salt City Brewery today, going strong, with the property being owned by Salt City Properties L.L.C.
