
PRATT COUNTY — A field survey for proposed pavement reconstruction on K-42 in Pratt County is scheduled to begin around Thursday, April 29.
The survey for pavement reconstruction will be on K-42 from the U.S. 281/K-42 junction east to the east city limits of Sawyer. The approximate length of the survey is 1,320 feet. The survey is based on existing alignment.
The field survey – estimated to be completed by May 11 -- will gather information needed for detailed design of the proposed improvement.
The survey will be contained within existing right of way. A member of the survey crew will contact property owners and/or tenants for permission to enter private property upon entry if
needed. Survey activities will include use of survey instruments on the ground to determine locations of existing features within the survey corridor.
Kara LaRiviere, P.S., Survey Project Manager, Bureau of Right of Way, will be in charge of this survey for the Kansas Department of Transportation.
