RENO COUNTY — A pedestrian was injured in an accident east of Hutchinson Tuesday night.
The Reno County Sheriff's Office reports that at 6:49 p.m., deputies responded to the 6600 Block of East 4th Avenue for a report of an injury accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on a bicycle.
When deputies arrived, fire and EMS were already on scene rendering aid to the pedestrian, a 37-year-old male of Hutchinson. The driver was identified as a 19-year-old male of Reno County. It was reported that the pedestrian was standing next to his bicycle in the middle of the road and the driver was unable to avoid the bicycle.
All occupants in the vehicle reported wearing their seatbelt and did not have any injuries. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
