HESSTON, Kan. — Hesston boys basketball coach Garrett Roth did some team building this week at the height of the central Kansas snowstorm's aftermath this week.

"We had a couple snow days last year, went out as a group and went around town and anybody that needed their driveway shoveled for a donation, we went out and did that," Roth said. "This year I wanted to do something a little bit different, I wasn't too worried about getting money for our program, but just challenged the guys to shovel 45 driveways in and around their neighborhood, whether it was their own house or their neighbors that were in need around them. They went out and did that and we ended up with 60 driveways shoveled and a lot of guys participating in it."

Hesston is scheduled to play Sunrise Christian on Friday.
