FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — U.S. Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley filled out his roster Tuesday, selecting Sam Burns, Patrick Cantlay, Ben Griffin, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas and Cameron Young as his six captain’s picks for the 2025 event at Bethpage Black.
The 45th Ryder Cup is scheduled for Sept. 23–28 in New York.
Six others—Scottie Scheffler, J.J. Spaun, Xander Schauffele, Russell Henley, Harris English and Bryson DeChambeau—clinched automatic spots through the points standings that closed Aug. 17.
Burns, 29, returns for his second Ryder Cup after debuting in 2023. The Louisiana native produced six top-10s this PGA Tour season, highlighted by strong showings at the BMW Championship (T-4) and TOUR Championship (T-7). He led the Tour in Strokes Gained: Putting (0.924) and was the best inside 10 feet (90.79%).
Cantlay, 33, brings veteran experience to his third Ryder Cup. The Californian owns a 5-2-1 career mark, including unbeaten records in singles (2-0-0) and his standout 3-0-1 effort at Whistling Straits in 2021. This season he logged 10 top-15 finishes, capped by a T-2 at the TOUR Championship.
Griffin, 29, will make his first Ryder Cup appearance after a breakout season that included wins at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and Charles Schwab Challenge. He tied Scottie Scheffler for the second-most top-10 finishes on Tour (10), with notable results at The Memorial (runner-up), PGA Championship (T-8), U.S. Open (T-10), FedEx St. Jude Championship (T-9) and TOUR Championship (T-10).
Morikawa, 28, is back for his third Ryder Cup. The two-time major champion holds a 4-3-1 record, going 3-0-1 in his 2021 debut. This season, he ranked second on Tour in Strokes Gained: Tee to Green (1.233) and third in Approach the Green (0.848).
Thomas, 32, is the most seasoned U.S. player with his fourth Ryder Cup appearance. The two-time PGA champion has compiled a 7-4-2 record, including a 3-0-0 mark in singles. He added his 16th PGA Tour victory this spring at the RBC Heritage, one of eight top-10 finishes in 2025.
