Michael J Wolke, 72, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022 in Wichita, Kansas. He was born in Wichita, Kansas to Elmer B. and Opal (Martin) Wolke. He was raised in the Wichita area and was a graduate of Heights High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam War Veteran. Mike worked at Excel and then United Warehouse where he retired.
He would help friends, neighbors and family with any projects. He enjoyed going to the casino and IMAX movies. Michael loved spending time with his grandchildren, with his greatest love being family time.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, and infant brother. Michael is survived by his wife Linda Wolke, son Michael Wolke Jr, daughter Christy Holmes (Doug), and son Jason Wolke (Kristin); grandchildren Nick, Jacob, Brett and Isabelle; many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held 4-6 p.m., Thursday, June 2 at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday June 3 at Resurrection Cemetery, 1640 N. Maize Rd, Wichita, Kansas.
