Sawyer - Nancy Mae Swonger, 77, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She was born on June 4, 1944 in Barber County to Frank Marvin and Nora Mildred (Roots) Winters. Nancy married Charles Ray Swonger on October 1, 1962 in Clayton, New Mexico. They were married for 59 years.
Nancy graduated from Pratt High School in 1962. She was the owner of Ranchers Cafe in Sawyer. She also worked as a server and dishwasher at Skyline School. She enjoyed front porch sitting, watching wildlife, crocheting, cooking, baking pies and family gatherings.
She is survived by her husband, Charles of Sawyer; daughters, Susan (Curt) Oller of Pratt and Cindy (Clint) Tyler of Sawyer; sister, Betty Wilson of Edmond, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Jackie Naasz of Spearville; grandchildren, Ray (Nina) Oller of Wichita, Randy (Britt) Oller and Ashley Tyler all of Pratt, Madison (Kenny Eddy) Tyler and Braden Tyler all of Sawyer; great grandchildren, Rylee, Alysa, Titus, Thaddeus, Tiberius, Sean, Maci and Peyton; and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy is preceded in death by her father, Frank Marvin Winters, Sr.; mother, Nora Mildred Cole; stepfather, James Cole; brothers, Frank Winters, Jr., Ralph Naasz and Thomas Naasz; and sisters, Pat Billings, Roberta Conaway.
Visitation will be Friday, October 22, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt with Pastor Rodney Worsham and Pastor Clint Tyler presiding. Burial will follow at Ellenwood Cemetery, Sawyer.
