
MCPHERSON COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 11:30a.m. Friday in McPherson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Nissan Sentra driven by Donald A. Long, 68, York, Nebraska, was eastbound on U.S. 56 just east of 25th Avenue.
The driver lost control of the car in the slush on the road. The Nissan traveled left of center and struck a 2019 Ram 2500 driven by Jason L. Bernhardt, 52, Marion, head-on.
EMS transported Long to Wesley Medical Center. Bernhardt and a passenger in the pickup were not transported for treatment. Long was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
