Howard Lee Jantz, 86, of Hesston, Kansas, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022, at his home. He was born March 2, 1935, in Ulysses, Kansas, the son of John H. and Evelyn (Schmidt) Jantz.
Howard was a life-long farmer. He was a member of Meridian Church of God in Christ Mennonite.
Howard was united in marriage to Shirley Joan Wiggers on September 4, 1964, at Hesston. She survives of the home.
He is also survived by his daughter, Sharon Giesel (Tony) of rural Hesston; sons, Galen Jantz (Becky) and Carl Jantz (Marsha) all of rural Moundridge; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Keith Jantz (Pam), Kansas City, Missouri; sisters, June Jantz, Clarksdale, Mississippi, Winona Koehn (Russel), Montezuma, KS, Janet Jost, Brooksville, MS; and sisters-in-law, Elnora Jantz, Stover, MO, Marge Jantz, Scio, Oregon and Delores Holdeman, Sumner, Texas.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jonathon Lee Jantz; three brothers; and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Meridian Church of God in Christ Mennonite, rural Hesston. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m., Monday, February 28, at Moundridge Funeral Home, with family greeting friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at Meridian Church of God in Christ Mennonite.
