
DERBY, Kan. - The Hutchinson Monarchs found a way to overcome six errors in their Jayhawk Summer league game Thursday night in Derby to defeat the Twins 7-5.
Hutchinson was able to score runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh inning to pull away for their 21st win on the season.
Jace Minor pitched seven innings to earn the win aided by Cooper Wesslund and Sam Wiese having three RBI's apiece to lead the Monarchs offensively.
Hutchinson (21-7) return home to Hobart-Detter for games tonight and Saturday night hosting the Wichita Diamond Kings with first pitch set for 7pm.
