RICE COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 4p.m. Thursday in Rice County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Chevy Silverado driven by Dylan Michael Kitchen, 18, Olathe, was eastbound on Kansas 4 at 8th Road.
The pickup struck the side of a westbound 2007 Peterbilt semi's trailer driven by Tarsem Singh, 43, Overland Park, that was crossing K-4 highway from the stop sign at 8th Road.
EMS transported Kitchen to the hospital in Ellsworth. Singh was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
