Marla Gail Thomas, 51, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at her home in Hutchinson, KS. Marla was born October 19, 1969 in Hutchinson, KS, the daughter of Dennis Smith and Paula (Rodriquez) Thomas.
She attended Hutchinson High School Marla is survived by her mother, Paula Thomas; children, Ciara (Daniel) Swanson, Chanel Vargas and Shyla Vargas; a brother, Darin Rodriquez; three grandchildren, Adrynn Swanson, Zariyah Luna and Bryelli Swanson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Smith. A rosary will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS. A funeral will follow at 1:30 p.m. Memorials may be given to Cancer Council of Reno County and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
