HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Just after 9:30 p.m. Friday, the Hutchinson Fire Department responded to 2512 North Lorraine St. for the report of a building fire.
First arriving crews found light smoke in the area.
Crews found smoke in the attic caused by an electrical short.
Minimal fire damage occurred. The home was occupied at the time of the fire and all were able to escape without injury.
The Red Cross was called in to assist the occupants.
