Rosie Pauline Vargas, 86, of Hutchinson, died December 11, 2021. She was born June 30, 1935, in Hutchinson, to Arcadio C. and Rita G. (Garcia) Aleman.
Rosie attended Hutchinson schools and graduated from beauty college in Michigan. She worked as a waitress at the Hutchinson Town Club for 30 years until retirement. Rosie’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson.
Rosie is survived by: her children, Carol Buckbee-Suarez of Hutchinson, Albert Vargas of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Brad Buckbee (Ashton) of Hutchinson, Bryan Suarez of Hutchinson, Nicholas and Isabella Vargas of Las Vegas; great-grandson, Elias Buckbee; brothers, Richard and Robert Aleman; and numerous extended family members.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Robert “Bobby” Vargas; siblings, Lola Torrez, Mary Blea, Jennie Enciso, Betty Aleman, Charles Aleman, Luis Aleman, and John Aleman.
Cremation has taken place. Private family burial will be at a later date. Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, December 15 through Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Elliott Mortuary.
