A community effort is underway to stock the shelves and support neighbors in need. The public is invited to take part in a Supply Drive benefiting NOEL Lodge, happening this weekend at the Dillons Marketplace on east 30th.
The drive will be held Friday and Saturday, Sept. 19–20, and organizers are especially asking for donations of household and hygiene items, which are in high demand at the shelter.
NOEL Lodge, a local transitional housing program, provides individuals and families with safe shelter and support as they work toward stability and independence. Events like this help ensure residents have access to basic necessities during their stay.
“Together we can fill the shelves and lift up our neighbors,” organizers said in a Facebook post promoting the event, encouraging residents to stop by and contribute.
The donation station will be set up at Dillons Marketplace in Hutchinson throughout the weekend. Community members are encouraged to give what they can to help strengthen the safety net for those in need.
