A man was killed Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at a rural McPherson County intersection, authorities said.
The McPherson County Sheriff's Office said McPherson 911 received a report at 4:35 p.m. of a collision at 12th Avenue and Moccasin Road.
Responding deputies found a utility terrain vehicle on its side in the roadway and a Suzuki SUV in a nearby ditch.
According to the sheriff’s office, the UTV was traveling north on 12th Avenue and the SUV was heading west on Moccasin Road. Investigators determined the UTV struck the SUV in the intersection and overturned. The impact caused the UTV driver to be ejected.
The male driver of the UTV was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of family.
The female driver of the SUV was transported to McPherson Center for Health for treatment. Her condition was not immediately available.
